We seemed to have stopped our little to and fro. I'm sorry if I didn't give you the best trash talking ever. You see, I'm rather new at this.

Only, I feel obliged to teach you something about astronomy. You said something in your vignette that rather bothered me. It was a little monologue right at the end. I feel education is important, so let me enlighten you.

Did you know that the terms meteoric rise or meteoric ascension are utterly ridiculous notions? Proper astronomy teaches you: Meteors don't rise or ascend - They fall or descend.

I know how meteors work, asshat. And at any rate, in this particular context, the term 'meteoric' refers to the speed and relatively unstoppable nature of an object, not the direction in which said object is moving.

It seems like I've had to say this quite a bit lately, so one more time won't hurt: don't lecture me.
