Turns out that you're only half-right though. The potency of a Virus depends on his Virulence, that is, the relative ability of a Virus to cause a disease.

Unfortunately for everyone, this little Virus is incredibly Virulent. You'll find inoculations, vaccinations, and any other sort of defense FMW can come up with quite useless.
