Luck plays a huge role in our game, and my pick to win the playoffs was derailed not because of his own bad luck, but rather his opponent had better luck. For some reason, booking decided to switch the IC title this week from Ezekiel Jackson to Cody Rhodes. It really wasn't a bad week for Slegna - it was just a great week for Leon.

Romeo vs. Nick1
Tyson Kidd fulfills his role twice, giving me the edge, and it's really just like what I said about Leon and Slegna up there. What I will say is this - Sheamus's current face turn may just be his true breaking out, and watch him to go over Henry later.

I just updated it now.

What exactly determines who gets the 5th and 6th draft picks? Since Nick 2 and I were both eliminated at the same time, what gives him the 5th pick and I the 6th pick? If it were run like hockey and football (how you were running the standings during the regular season), I would get the 5th pick because even though Nick 2 and I had the same record (10-8-0), I lost the first tiebreaker, total points.

For example, in the second round of the NFL playoffs last year, the Pats, Ravens, Falcons and Seahawks were all eliminated. Because Seattle had the worst regular season record of the four of them (7-9), they received the #25th pick. The Ravens got #26 (12-4), the Falcons #27 (13-3), and the Pats #28 (14-2). As such, because I had less points (111) than Nick 2 (159), I should be drafting higher than Nick 2.

It was just a terrible week for Bob here. Not only does John Cena lose the WWE championship at SummerSlam, but it's evident that the WWE is making Kelly Kelly the Divas version of Cena as Beth Phoenix is becoming the Divas version of CM Punk, winning three times in a row on both shows - she's more undisputed than Alberto del Rio is. Speaking of working both shows, it doesn't hurt at all that Zack Ryder is transcending most undercarders by doing both - wrestling Drew McIntyre, a RAW superstar on... A lucky break for Leon. Had Panzer shown up, he definitely would've beaten him to the ground, and now I'm pulling for Jeff to win the finals.

Also, while these two close out this season, here's an idea I came up with while talking to Bob to spice up the Draft. Last year's two-keeper system made the Draft incredibly boring, to the point that we were mostly drafting midcarders and a lot of undercarders. So in order to make things a little more fun, how would you like the idea of pick trading?

For those who don't know how it works, in real-life sports, teams frequently trade players and/or future Draft picks for higher/lower pick in the draft order. It's a good bit of strategy for those who want to move up and down the order, or for those who want to claim a big-time player instead of waiting for one to come up in the draft.

I've got Bob, Panzer and Eddie giving their approval for the idea, and obviously we'll need a majority vote to push through. If this happens, this is how it would (tentatively) go:

- You'll have to name ONE keeper by the end of the Finals week.
- These keepers will be the only wrestlers you can trade for picks.
- After this week, you've got until the next Draft to trade picks and players. The next Draft will be the Saturday evening (American time)/Sunday morning (Australian time) before Night of Champions, which is on September 18.

I'll need you all to voice out yay or nay in this thread before the Finals week is over so we can get a head start.

Hell yes. I'd be willing to trade AmDrag, Trips, or Morrison (basically my three people worthy of being keepers) to somebody in exchange for a higher pick in either the first or second round. I could also trade down, depending on who's being offered.

You have my approval of that idea Romeo, even though I don't see myself personally making use of it as #1 pick, I love the concept and could definitely be fun. Go for it.

45 goddamned minutes keeping me from winning this. I was #1 seed last season, and #2 this one, but I keep failing.

Also Sleg, I'll trade you Trips for my second-round pick, or Christian.

No, of course not, that's silly. You get to name the picks you want to trade for.

I figure that we shouldn't need to name our keepers first, because I'd be willing to trade my original keeper, HHH, for a higher draft pick and change my keeper to JoMo or AmDrag.

And I'll think about that, Az Real. Definitely no go on the pick trade, I'm not trading Trips just to get bumped up two spots in the second round. But getting Christian is tempting.

Another thought, Ro. Would it be ok for someone to have two draft picks in the same round, as long as everybody had six total picks in the end?

I'd agree with that, makes sense to me to make last minute swaps before draft day to get a better keeper.
