Pokeleague Season 2

Ladies and gentlemen, it is upon us.

Before I begin, I'm going to give a quick tutorial on how to access Pokemon Online, in case you can't find me online (Both Nicks could help you as well). To start, go here and download the latest version of Pokemon Online, if you haven't already. Installing should be quick and easy. Once installed, open the program and enter Teambuilder first. From there you can set your screenname and avatar (everything else isn't important, though you can fill in the Winning/Losing messages if you'd like). For Challenge Cup, you do not need to have a team, so ignore that for now. Before you quit Teambuilder, you must save (at the bottom). Once you do so, quit, and you should be brought back to the main PO menu.

Then select "Go Online", and choose the "Pokemon Online" server. Note that you may have a hard time accessing the server if you choose a generic screenname. To access the Challenge Cup tier, at the top go to Tiers > All Gens > Challenge Cup. To practice Challenge Cup, click the "Find Battle button at the bottom of the PO GUI, and you should find a battle within five minutes at most. My goal is to post a guide to CC within the next week or so, stay tuned.

Now, onto the important details:

Clauses
When challenging your opponent, first make sure that both you and your opponent are in the Challenge Cup tier. Then, challenge your opponent by double clicking his name (in the users list on the left). Before issuing your challenge, make sure the only checkbox marked is the "Challenge Cup" box (as well as the "No Timeout" box if you so choose, more on that later). This means that the normal metagame clauses are not in effect. In layman's terms, you CAN freeze two or more of your opponent's Pokemon, you CAN put two or more of your opponent's Pokemon to sleep, etc.

Matches
Matches, as mentioned before, will be best 3 of 5 battles. For consistency's sake, battle scores will still be reported like last season, though Pokemon Difference will not be used in the standings. For those who are new this season, this is an example of how matches should be reported:


Where the number represents how many Pokemon the winner had left.

Playoffs/Divisions
There will be no divisions in Season 2. 8 players will make it to the playoffs and no person will have byes through any round.

Schedule/Standings

I have a cool (or so I think) standings graphic, I'll get it up later. As for schedule:

Bob vs. Dylan
Edible vs. Leon
Nick 1 vs. Nick 2
Panzer vs. PX
Ro vs. Sean
Slegna vs. Skyler (omigod finals rematch)

Matches should be finished by Sunday July 2nd at 11:59 PST.

yeah I had some garbage pokemon. I especially loved getting fire orb. That was tasty.

Thats the breaks though, was still pretty fun/entertaining.

Pretty good first week guys, only one match didn't happen. As such, here are your standings after Week 1:


Yes, the image is long, but it's too late to rectify that situation now. Plus, I like the style. Now, onto important league business. Sean has been removed due to inactivity and certain posts on Facebook. Ergo, Ro's battle with Sean will be declared a BYE week. In terms of future scheduling, the Season 2 Schedule will still have 11 weeks, but each person will only battle 10 times and have one bye each.

Edible, note that you have a blank space in the Standings, let me know what Pokemon you want to go in there.

But I'm on AIM whenever I'm available to battle, weekends are best for me - I think my nights are your days so we're probably looking at Saturday night for me = Sat morning for you, or Sunday most of my entire day.
