Depending on the situation a queen may or may not be the correct piece for a pawn to be exchanged for. Sometimes another knight is more valuable for example....

I'm honestly trying here. Apart from breaking pawn chains I don't see any weight in the knight.

Its unpredictability in movement? A queen can only move in lines, where as a knight can jump ahead of the others, and move in sporadic ways.

Not really, there's only one set pattern a Knight can move in. It's also rather easy to avoid and defend, due to it's set pattern of skipping around.

OK so I'm cluching at straws and there are not very many circumstances I'll grant that. The queen is gonna be the best choice in most circumstances. There are some very specific setups where it would be the choice to make late in a game though.

So this week has been a bummer for me, I had two exams (Thurs & Fri) so I had little time to write a promo, but I do have the ideas to write it now, I just need the time.

Anyway I'm heading off sailing now, but when I get back I wont stop til its finished.

That is word for word what I have written thus far for a promo. I've had my hands tied with LPW and work the last week, so essentially I'm starting now. Not expecting to win the match, but damn it, I'll show, and it'll be good. Sometime tomorrow night I'll show.

Figured out how to get to the last page of a thread from the Home page: You click the little symbol of an arrow pointing at a piece of paper. I know that was bugging alot of people.

Promo is posted, and before deadline to. Yay! Anyway, all of you should go read it and if you want to be really cool I will be happy to take some feedback as well.

Okay, here's my situation.

So I'm working on my promo while surfing on my usual sites, then BAM out of nowhere, FUCKING VIRUS hits the computer. Internet is killed on it, it can no longer run anything, including word, meaning my promo is now dead and gone. It can't be put on a memory stick either and transfered to this comp because it wont open up the stick to transfer in the first place. Much to my horror there is no antivirus on the computer, I have no fucking clue why not, so the thing is fucked.

Now, words cannot describe how batshit insane i fucking went to see my promo, the most important one ive written and the climax to my story arc die in front of me. I have to start again from scratch which is a really painful exercise. So if i manage to promo, it'll probably be late tomorrow unless i really power through it tonight. If I fail to get it done in time, Ill be really fucking pissed and upset, this practically what i spent the last year working up to, practically going up in smoke.

1. Mum is gonna freak, like, you may want to hide out in the hills or something for a month
2. I'm so bummed for you Man. For those of you who don't know, PX has been building to this promo for literally months and months and months. Totally, totally sucks this happened.

I decided not to add to my promo and split it up over the next cycle so it made it before the deadline ..... YEA ME!!! My streak of promoing on time is upheld....I am building to a pretty great story over the next few shows I hope you all enjoy

Yo guys, I've made it to the states! Flight went by pretty fast despite it being 9 hours. Just lettin' ya guys know I'm reading promo's and will be slapping my votes up tomorrow night.

Until them I'm gonna stuff my face with food. Already had a Panda Express today :O

My laptop decided to both hit me with a blue screen of dead and now giving me a lovely horrifying login error so I can't log back into it.

This leads me to two conclusions. One, my laptop is sentient. Two, it's hatred of me matches my own. So, depending on how well my efforts to fix it go, my promo may or may not be fucked. Fucking joy.

Durrrrrr... Na jokes. I just found that out myself

I have realized something, and that is I don't have the motivation to put in the hard work right now here in FMW. Maybe I'm feeling burnt out or something like that, but I feel like it's time for me to leave FMW right now. When I'm feeling motivated to give a 100% effort for every card is when I'll come back, but I just don't see it happening right now.

So that is why I won't be putting up a promo for the PPV, because it would feel very rushed and not up to my standards for a big show. I don't want to let people down, but I feel like I can't continue without giving a full effort.

My promo will be in soon. I am not missing this show.

Work decided I needed to work when I had some free time to write my promo. More than likely, you'll be getting an unfinished promo pre-deadline, and posting a finished product post deadline.
