Funny thing is, I wrote half of this promo a couple of months ago (for one of the matches I no-showed) but didn't quite have time to finish it before the deadline. It was more going to be a riff on how appropriate Apostasy is for the Abandoned Title, but this worked out.

I think it's just a matter of semantics. Alex O'Rion won the Torch no question, but he didn't win the Mt. Vesuvius match itself.

It's like when people called Edge the winner of the 2007 Money in the Bank ladder match. He didn't win the match, Mr. Kennedy did. Edge merely won the briefcase at a later date.
