Well its been almost a week but finally my laptop is fully operational, managed to get all my documents off without any viruses attached and most of all I've got all my promo's, including for some part, my Death Row promo...

So happy days.

Considering our current Marketing Methodology is 16 pages, I say I done good. Presentation of First Draft went well. Good times, good times. Now I'm gonna get a coffee and pretend to work for the next 20 minutes.

But when I came here the "bible" for marketing was six pages. It made me cry.

It's amazing how many companies have no plan for marketing or public relations. You just can't got without either anymore.

Agreed. It's absolutely essential. For a multi million dollar software company we have no communications department (now me) no marketing department (me as well for Canada). How we have come this far without I have no idea.

It takes a little bit of time, usually. We're trying to get it up before Christmas.

And for future reference, try not to even vaguely mention how long a show goes up, it draws the ire of staff. It goes up when it goes up.

Offering to help is a plus though, but the show's being covered.

Oh I wasn't like, implying that the show needs to hurry up or anything.

I just didn't know how things worked here, so it wasn't clear whether or not this was a usual length of time. Gotcha.

Because our shows are such detailed and thorough pieces of work, it takes us longer to compile a show compared to most other efeds out there. An rough and fair guestimation on how long a show should take from V+P finishing to the show being posted is roughly 12-14 days. Sometimes a bit longer, sometimes a bit shorter.

The wait's a bit longer, but it is always worth it.

I hope the show is delayed forever, if that means we can be selfish and hold onto Smitten for just that extra bit more time before he's gone.



On a brighter note, I have followed in the footsteps of Peter Saint and Alex O'Rion/Eric Ares in the creative forum. There you can witness the evolution of Eric Scorpio from his debut match at Anarchy 2.2 all the way to the first Ultimatum match. I'm missing two promos during that stretch (Anarchy 2.4 & Alchemy 3.1 - both wins... sigh).

Anarchy 2.4 promo was similar to my debut promo, with me helping out a small kid being bullied by a group of teenagers only to finish with me punching the kid in the face.

Alchemy 3.1 I was actually proud of, still am (which is why I am so bummed that its lost) It flash backed to my entire life before I started in the FMW and it ended up with me beating the shit out of a prostitute in a telephone booth when she decided to rob me after I had fallen asleep in my motel room.

It has been mentioned that newer people might not know who Scorpio was, since a lot of you guys weren't even around for FMW's first cycle, and that I should include this in a newer promo. Well, instead, I've posted all my earlier promos instead for you to read. You will also notice that I started like crap as well. Hell one promo there has less than 2 pages of actual writing, for a PPV match!!! EEEK!!! lol.

On a separate note, Ro, I need a new header for the history thread. Turns out I was using the old links and didn't actually save that particular piece of graph. And it's now all gone.

Plus... it was due for a change (was the same header for well over 2 years now)

EDIT: You could probably extend this to the Roster thread as well. All the trophy links are now broken too. Unless someone saved those, we will need new ones again.

I'll get on it after I do them roster graphics, which would be after Death Row hits the stands.

I think it's very appropriate for Drew. But only because Buddy Christ is so vanilla.
