Mark sits opposite his long time girlfriend in Natalie at a traditional style French café, wine glasses are half full and their plates are waiting to be cleared.

]Natalie: I guess it went well.

Mark: Were you confident?

]Natalie: I guess, I was eloquent.

Mark reaches for his wine glass.

Mark: Everyone would have been, physically were you confident?

Natalie puts her head to one side.

]Natalie: I think so.

Mark: Then congratulations.

]Natalie: I haven’t got the job yet.

Mark: On a good interview then.

Mark sips at his wine, while the plates are cleared from beneath him.

Mark: It looks like I have a chance to overcome this Virus.

Natalie looks unfazed by this information.

Mark: All I have to do it beat him down.

Natalie stands up from the table.

]Natalie: Just going to the toilet.

Mark pulls on his coat and takes a look at the other couples who have taken over the café.

Mark: Way too much P.D.A.

Mark calls for and pays the bill as Natalie returns as she does Mark stands up and grabs her coat.

]Natalie: Where to?

Mark: Home.

Mark puts his arm around Natalie’s waist and leads her towards the street and hails a cab.

A short time later Mark and Natalie are standing at the door to their apartments.

Mark: Close your eyes.

]Natalie: Don’t be silly Mark.

Mark: Please.

Natalie closes her eyes and Mark leads her into the apartment and into the bedroom, Mark has outpoured his love into the room, rose petals everywhere and candles lit, Mark leaves Natalie and grabs a present from under the bed.

Mark: Open your eyes.

Natalie does so and takes in the sight, before leaping into Mark’s arms.

Mark: Happy Valentines Day.

Mark hands over his present, Natalie opens it revealing a beautiful silver necklace, Mark takes it out and puts it around her neck as he leans in to kiss her.

]Natalie: I love you, more than anything.


Mark is sitting on his couch enshrouded in darkness, the flickering of the TV illuminated his hunched figure as he nurses a neat scotch.

Knock, Knock.

Slowly Mark turns to stare at the door, revealing a weary face.

Knock, Knock.

Mark reluctantly puts down his glass and walks towards the door, his feet scuffing the carpet every step of the way.

Opening the door slowly until the draw chain stops it, peering through the crack is Seth Omega.

]Seth: Open the damn door.

Mark slowly closes the door, draws back the chain and opens it wide, as Seth walks through the doorway as if he is entering a familiar place.

]Seth: This is healthy. Darkened room.

Seth walks over to the coffee table picks up Mark’s scotch and sniffs it.

]Seth: Scotch?

Seth sniffs it again.

]Seth: Cheap scotch!

Mark snatches his drink away and downs it in one gulp.

Mark: What do you want Seth?

]Seth: You know a man surroundings says a lot about a man.

Mark: Yet you don’t live in a pigsty.

Seth takes a hard look at Mark.

]Seth: Get dressed.

Mark: I am dressed.

Again Seth scans Mark up and down, Mark is wearing sweatpants and a black tank top.

]Seth: Firstly, you don’t have shoes. Second, put some jeans on. Thirdly put a god dam shirt on, your not as young as you think you are.

Mark: You’re giving me fashion advice.

]Seth: Just get dressed!

Mark: Fine!

Mark succumbs to Seth’s wishes and heads for the bedroom, leaving it only open a crack. Meanwhile Seth sits down to watch the TV.

]Seth: You were watching the fashion channel?

Mark doesn’t reply.

]Seth: Mark!?

Mark: Do not talk to me when I’m not wearing pants.

Seth ponders the thought before shaking his head and returning to the TV.

]Seth: Ohhh… it’s the lingerie hour…

Mark: Happy?

Mark is now dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, Seth stands up and once again looks Mark up and down.

]Seth: It will do. Lets go.

Seth heads to the door.

Mark: Wait… what?

]Seth: We. You and me, are going for a drink.

Mark: Fine…

]Seth: You are just bustling with joy aren’t you.

Mark quickly heads to the door, yanking it open and leaving before Seth.

Mark: Seth. Shutup.

Seth smirks as he follows Mark out the door and eventually out of the apartment. The pair walk in silence down the darkened street. Mark has his arms folded.

]Seth: Should of brought a jacket.

Mark: You could of told me it was cold.

]Seth: It’s Philadelphia. In winter. Use your brain next time.

Mark: Lend me yours.

Seth is walking briskly with a look of absolute comfort on his face.

]Seth: Nah, I’m good.

Mark: Dude, your fat will keep you warm.

Seth doesn’t reply and pulls out sharply in front of a bar, the bouncer at the door is surprised to see both men.

Bouncer: Holy shit! Mark Johansson?

Mark: Heeeey… always good to meet a fan.

The bouncer shakes Mark’s hand vigorously as Seth looks on, waiting in anticipation. The bouncer just stares at him.

Bouncer: Just the two of you?

Mark nods while Seth looks in disbelief.

Entering the bar Mark notices a spare booth and heads in that direction as Seth pulls away to get some drinks, returning quickly with two scotch and cokes.

]Seth: So.

Mark: So.

]Seth: Welcome to the saints.

Seth holds up his drink and Mark cheers him with a dull clink.

Mark: This is my induction.

]Seth: I guess.

Mark takes a swig from his glass, before looking over to Seth.

]Seth: For gods sake lose the puppy dog eyes.

Mark laughs as Seth finishes his drink, still laughing Mark leaves shortly returning with two more drinks.

]Seth: Back to my original point, get over her.

Mark: Piss off, don’t want to get over her.

]Seth: Alright, so don’t get over her, but still look what your doing.

Mark: I’m not doing nothing.

]Seth: Woah double negative.

Mark: Look, you don’t know the story.

Seth slowly lowers the drink from his mouth.

]Seth: You are still beating yourself up, don’t you get enough of that in the ring.

Mark: Real low.

]Seth: See, take a joke! Lighten up.

Mark: I am -

]Seth: No, your not. Come on man, I knock on your door on a Saturday and you’re drinking alone and watching soft core porn.

Mark has finished his drink and looks over at Seth.

Mark: Your shout.

]Seth: Taking a leak first.


Mark is sitting down alone in a small cell block, with his back against the wall and his eyes wide shut.

Cop: Wake up drunky.

Mark jerks awake.

Cop: Make your phone call and get bail posted.

In a daze Mark approaches the cell bars.

Mark: So you can get more revenue?

Cop: Just do it rockstar.

Mark: Look, I know the law.

Cop: Well look who we have, someone who watches “Law and Order”.

Mark: You have me for drunk and disorderly, all I have to do is wait out the night.

Cop: You were in a punch up, we could have you for assault.

Mark: I didn’t take the first punch, so no you don’t.

Cop: We can still charge you, which gives us twenty four hours.

Mark brushes off the cop and returns to his position on the floor.

Mark: I’m not making a call.


]Natalie: You need to change your emergency contact.

Mark jumps up and tries to dishevel his hair and clothes but to no avail.

Cop: Free to go.

The cell door clangs open the sound makes Mark jump, he walks out with his head hung low. Natalie takes the lead furiously walking Mark out of the police station, she tries to walk off without uttering another word.

Mark: I’m sorry.

Natalie is stopped in her tracks and turns to look at a hopeless looking Mark who can’t help but notice that his necklace still hangs around her neck.

]Natalie: I was woken up at 4am to get you and all you say is sorry?

Mark: No, I thank you for that. I am sorry for everything.

]Natalie: That isn’t enough Mark. Goodbye.

Natalie hurriedly walks off without giving Mark a chance to reply, leaving him alone as the hustle of the Monday morning work traffic has already started.

My name is Jimmy Watson and before I tell you my story I should probably tell you a bit about myself. What little there was to tell anyway.

I suppose if you had to sum me up in one word it would be average. I stand at the average height of five eleven, and weigh in at the average weight of about a hundred and seventy five. My skin is a very distinctly average shade of white and my parents one acre home is as average as the other seven hundred identical lots that make up my lovingly average suburbia of Toronto.

My family is made up of the dream family two and a half kids, the half being the step brother my mom brought in after she lived up to the family ideal of married young, divorced, and remarried. I go to an average high school, write for an average school paper, and sit around bitching with my average friends.

If you haven’t gotten it yet, I’m pretty unremarkable for an eighteen year old kid with no idea what I want to do with my life.

Everything about me is average, except for maybe one little detail.

You see I’m a wrestling fan, a huge one, have been since before I could say the word. I grew up preaching to my friends about eating their vitamins and saying their prayers. Told them as I owned them at games that to be the man, you have to beat the man. Emphasized my point with “And that’s the Bottom Line” and yes, even smelled what the Rock was cookin’.

But like all children there came a time after the wrestling world had settled down that I simply lost my interest and went on with my life without a thought towards the squared circle. That was until the day my dad took me for our bi-weekly do something and pretend we are close day, the day Full Metal Wrestling rolled into town.

It was one of the first shows, back when Jaro rode an ostrich and names like O’Rion and Michaels didn’t stand for fallen heroes. The show they put on, it was like a drug being re-introduced to an addicts system after years on the wagon. It burned through my veins and sent my brain into over drive. I spent that show on the edge of my seat screaming my throat raw, I was hooked and I knew it. I’ve been hooked for the last three years. No matter what is happening in my life I could always count Alchemy and Anarchy, as well as the succession of crappier brands that followed them, to lift my spirits for at least a few hours a week.

It was my escape from the dull average state that is my life.

What follows is my story of how literal that became.


I’d be lying if I said that day started like any other day. It’s not every day you get woken up to the sound of a man banging away at your doorstep saying you’ve won. It’s not every day when you open said door in your boxers you find a man in a suit followed by several cameras staring in your face. And it is especially not every day you are being told you’ve won the FMW Fan Give-Away and your reaction is going to be broadcast across the country on a global television show.

While you’re in your boxers no less, and the entire country can see the outline of your package.

What I’m a normal teenager, things like this worry me.

The impassive blue cylinder that Matt Dunn managed to 'acquire' from one Striker residence stands in front of two of the three personalities of the Dunnwood entity, a twisted malformation born from hate, greed and illegal, filthy substances. With a couple of clicks, the cylinder is secured to its base with the hiss of hydraulics. Dunn kneels down, taps a couple of panels, then straightens, turning to Jack.

“Yeah. You could have helped, you prick.”

“An' why would I wanna do summat as stupid as tha'? Ye think I din ken wha' yer plannin'. I think i's disgustin'. Yer welcome ter i', bu' I'm no' gonna 'elp ye wi' yer sick fuckin' ideas. I 'ave me own ways o' doin' things.”

“Please. You get dragged along on Jaro's leash to a fucking psychiatrist.”

“Fuck you, bollocky chops. I' were an experience.”

“An experience? Bullshit, Jack. You probably fucked the guy in the head.”

“No' ye'. I'm gonna though.”

“Unbe-fucking-lievable.”

“So are ye.”

“Whatever. Piss off, Eastwood. Some of us have important scientific research to perform.”

Eastwood stamps off, leaving Dunn to press and pull a few more of the controls on his new toy. Finally satisfied, he withdrew a thin strip of plastic from his pocket and slipped in into the machine's base. At once it sparked into life, humming, vibrating with some force. The cylinder threatened to snap off its base, shaking like a nervous wreck. And then... life. A single cell formed in the centre of the structure, quickly splitting into two, then four, then eight.

“Shit, I need to write this progress down!”

He grabbed a pen and paper, and scrawled:

Day I

Progress on Project Pedodunn appears to be quicker than the normal life cycle, though slower than expected considering Pedobear Target Jade's speed with which she seemed to clone herself. That said, she was always a master of deception. Mmm... deception gives me a stiffy.

Anyway, it looks like it'll be at least a few weeks before Jade II is ready. Though, one could intimate that this is Jade III, Jade I producing Jade II. But, fuck that shit, this is my Jade, I can call her what I want. She can be fucking known as Ten-chan for all I care. So long as she's mine.

And she will be.


Day III

Today we have some major foetal development. I can already tell she's going to be a pretty, pretty girl. But I don't give a shit about that, I just want to make like I'm secretly black and get into her velvet oasis.
Seth already made a joke, but fuck him. Stay the fuck away from Amy.
I do wonder whether Skyler will actually care that I'm, strictly speaking, fucking his underage daughter, but then it's not really his blood. It's just a clone, a pale imitation of what once was.

And who gives a shit about the past? Yes, I realise the irony, but fuck them. What I am is a new, unique offshoot of a man's twisted, fucked-up dementia.

Meanwhile, Jack Eastwood lounges in a psychologist's office, the psychologist staring down at Eastwood, one of the hardest cases he's ever had. Truth be told, if it weren't for the large supplement FMW were paying him, he would give up right now. Yet he needs the money, having become addicted to gambling. With a soft sigh, he looks at his clipboard.

“Let's look at this again. Why do you hurt people?”

“'Cause I can?”

“But should you? Who gave you the power to hurt people?”

“My boss.”

“I don't think you have a healthy relationship with Mr Roy.”

“Wha' meks ye say tha'?”

“He's an untrustworthy character.”

“Yeah, so? Tha's all i' is. A character.”

“Can you honestly believe that?”

“...”

“Jack. Tell me.”

“...

Yeah. I can.”

Day XIV

Well it's been two weeks. I'd estimate that right now Ten-chan is around three years old. So, happy birthday, Ten! Phhrrp!

In case you couldn't tell, that's the sound a party whistle makes when it goes off. Yeah.

Anyway. I'm going to wait until Ten-chan is around thirteen, so I can make sure she's on her period. That way... up the duff! Fuck yeah.

And backstage at Supremacy, Dunnwood performs some reps, when Jaro walks into his locker room. Dunnwood catches him in the reflection of the mirror in front of him.

"Congratulations, I suppose."

"Oh. You're in that guise."

"Appreciated. So when will this segment be aired? Before or during the show?"

"Then I do it live."

"...fine. Whatever. I don't care. Anything to keep you from tripping balls and killing everyone in this arena."

"I wouldn't dream of it."

"Yet others might."

"You only said 'in this arena'. Outside I have no control, but in here I, and by extension we, are all about wrestling. And I shall go out and settle our affairs with Mr Frost once and for all. He and I have history that needs to be settled, and tonight I take care of it absolutely."

Sometimes in life, we try to push our way through the most impossible holes, trying to find ways to hide from the glaring sun or the gossip of society. Yet do we ever really get away? Is it possible to manipulate life til it is free of doubt? Or is it possible to live in a solid glass house and never have the echoing sound of shattering glass.

But it seems that is the life of Skyler Striker, with constant judgment and a severe call for support, is it true that he is a man that can fuel this addiction with no repercussion or responding remarks from those around him…

Well lets see what FMW and those closest to him had to say about him.

Mark Johansson: At least an addict knows he is addicted, Skyler lives in his own reality.


Damien Inferno: He's a hypocritical drug addicted fucktard


Christian Moore: Skyler seems like a guy who has more issues than Playboy.

Butters: When asked what I think of Skyler Striker... the first thing that comes to mind is... nothing. Not that he himself is nothing, but that every 'shining' moment of his career is vastly unmemorable. So, my thoughts on him would have to be... unmemorable.


Drew Michaels: Skyler is an ungrateful son of a bitch.


Tyrant: Ah' can't say Ah' have the same respect for the man that Ah' consider one of if not mah' greatest rival in mah' whole damn career. 'Prolly 'cause he ain't the same man no more.


Abel Steele: Skyler is weak. Weak to need a crutch (drugs), and weak for not taking responsibility of his family.


Romeo: Skyler is a weakling who has never truly proven his worth to anyone.


Chris Kelson: A very talented wrestler who would do anything and everything for his family and those he loves, to the point where they sometimes get in the way of his true potential.


Syanide: A deluded man who let's other people problems and feelings get in the way of him fulfilling his true potential.


Gabriel Crow: Abandoned Champion is an appropriate title, since Skyler has abandoned his faculties and responsibilities so handily.


Faith: ... I thought Striker was reliable. I thought I could count on him. I was wrong.


PX: Skyler Striker is a damaged man that's lost his way in a pathetic manner.


Chris Austin: Skyler Striker is a selfish, overrated piece of shit that has forgotten his role in the world and justified it by claiming that he's had clarity when I haven't whopped his ass yet.


Seth Omega: Skyler doesn’t deserve to hold the Abandoned Championship; he holds it with no honor and with little wrestling technicality.


Hannibal Frost: Skyler should receive what he has dealt out, an eye for an eye I’d say.


Harley Quint: Only Skyler can help himself so let him fall, in the end everyone learns faster on fire.


Jaro: Skyler Striker? More like STALER STRIKER. LOLOLOL.


Celt: Skyler is being a dickhead...and I just don't have the time to get around to telling him that.


Jade: Skyler might hate you for it at first, but he'll be grateful at the end of it all. He has a breaking point somewhere.


Leah: I’m worried about him.


April & John Striker: DADDY.


Sarah: He needs help, his family is worried to no ends. Someone needs to step in.


And so enters Leon Caprice, the husband to a pregnant wife, the seemingly now carer for the addicted’s family, the only man within arms reach of Skyler and so it’s seemed to fall on him. That it’s not just making Skyler saying “I Quit” for the match, but also to quit this addiction, this pointless rollercoaster.

Everyone in FMW has seen it, his family has seen it, his friends have seen it, and so, now the time has come, not for the student to beat the master, or the stepping out of a imperceptible shadow. It’s the hour in which a man will be save, the hour in which a man will be healed.





The scene opens to the office of Leon Caprice, former CEO of Entellect Ltd. Within the office are the two rivals tied closely to the heart of Entellect, both wearing business suits and looking as formal as possible. The former CEO himself Leon Caprice and his bitter rival Lyle Domican, who was responsible for the business merge and costing Leon his position within the company. The two men are sitting opposed in silence, pondering what to say, what the other might say first. Time was running short, the sun was rising in the day, and to Leon, he needed answers, the financial support needed for Sarah and the baby must be secured soon. Leon looks around the room at the place that he has got himself into, and decides to finally break the awkward and thoughtful silence with a light bit of chatter.

Leon: Would you like a drink?

A moment of hesitation from Lyle, yet in that time Leon had already lifted himself from his seat behind his finely crafted wooden desk and casually made his way towards the black corner cupboard. Resting atop of the cupboard stood 5 glasses and a glass cylinder of a potent golden liquid. As Leon began to pour two glasses, Lyle steadily stood up and slowly made his way towards the glass window looking over the city of Perth. With Leon eventually joining him by stopping beside him and handing the young businessman a glass half full of the potent liquid. Upon handing Lyle the glass, Leon turned his back on his bitter rival and reached across to his desk, hurriedly opening one of the draws, grabbing something and then sliding it into his suit pocket. With little noise Leon turns back to Lyle who to Leon’s amazement was sculling the entire glass of liquid. Giving him a couple of minutes to adjust his facial expression to a normal state, before breaking the silence, Leon lowered his glass onto the desk.

Leon: So Lyle, I have a question for you.

In hearing this Lyle gingerly tilted himself around.

Lyle: Sure, what wa-

As quick as Lyle replied, Leon was lying in wait, as Lyle tilted far enough he was met with a solid right uppercut, knocking the young businessman out cold. As Lyle fell out of consciousness Leon needed to act quickly. Swiftly reaching into his desk draws he removed some rope and duct tape. Knowing what to do, Leon quickly went to work.



It was a good 20 minutes before Lyle became to open his eyes, yet for the most part that’s all he could do. His lips were taped over, his body was taped to the chair in which he sat on, his legs were tied together and also to the chair. Basically, Lyle was helpless. As he regained full consciousness, he began to swiftly shift his eyes around the room, making little noise as he did. The chair was still placed towards Leon’s desk facing out to the glass window. Looking around the room, the lights had been substantially dimmed, the glasses had been cleared and back into their original spot, the walls were still dark and the flooring was still a silver carpet, yet the most alarming thing to Lyle was Leon. Opposite the strapped in Lyle sat a composed Leon. With no emotions of anger or stress or even happiness, he remained with a stone-face expression. As Lyle finally drew eye contact with Leon, he clicked, Leon jumped into motion, and with a crude grin on his face he slowly reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a small sized dagger. With the grin not faltering, Leon gradually lifted himself from his seat and casually walked around the desk and positioned himself directly in front of Lyle, with the dagger pointed straight into Lyle’s eyes Leon began the torment, the interrogation.

Leon: So Lyle, bet you didn’t expect this today, hmm… So let’s talk about Entellect…Are you going to admit to bribing the directors, or do I need to make some incisions?

Lyle’s eyes were staring intently on the daggers edge, watching its every movement.

Leon: So are you going to tell me what I want to hear, or do I need to improve your hearing and ask the question again.

While saying the latter of his words, Leon positions the dagger below the left ear of Lyle, grasping the dagger with his wrist bend down, in a ready position to slice upwards.

Leon: So what will it be, Acceptance or Repentance?

Lyle hesitates suddenly, the blood seemingly rushing to his head as he ponders the decision, the silence is only built by the added pressure on the knife by Leon. An aciculate ringing begins to engulf Lyle’s ears, with his forehead beginning to moisten, and his eyelids begin to fall. He wasn’t looking to give in yet Leon wasn’t looking to give up. The tension in Lyle’s face grew rapidly as Leon slowly increased the pressure on his ear. Nothing was going to stop Leon, less the words emitting from Lyle’s lips of remorse.

The diaphoresis was quickly spreading, from Lyle’s forehead to his chin, neck, arms and armpits. With the abdominal smell now seething through Lyle’s long sleeve shirt and spreading itself throughout the room, the atmosphere slowed, allowing all of both men’s senses to operate fully. Yet not deferring from Leon in his seemingly cold-hearted state, with the knife still tensed below the earlobe of Lyle. Amidst the slowed atmosphere and the constant pressure, a cognizance of frustration tipped the cheek of Leon as time continued to pass by. When would Lyle break, or would blood have to be drawn?

It continued to seem like a stalemate, with Lyle’s eyelids forcefully shut, his fists strongly tensioned and his head slightly tilted down to the right, it seemed no words were on his tongue, no saving grace would slip through his lips.

Leon: So what is it?

A sudden snap back to reality struck Lyle as his eyes reconnected with Leon’s, the seriousness in Leon emitted to the point that the pressure of the blade grew with every second passing by. More and more and more the blade lifted and Leon tensed the shaft of the blade, yet Lyle had not cracked. More seconds past, yet still no plead of desistance. A small stream of crimson blood began to flow down Lyle’s neck, the coldness of it, tickling the nerves of Lyle, yet he could not shiver from it, whether strapped in shock or adjusted to the position of the knife. Still more seconds past by, the stream grew and the teeth of Lyle began to grit, his lips tensed and his eyelids shut down once more.

Leon: DID YOU BRIBE THEM!!

The harshness of Leon’s words echoed within the room, he had purpose behind his words and he’d be damned if he just walked away, he needed this. And by any means he thought he would have it too.

Leon: Your last chance! Admitted it already!!

A moment of hesitation from Leon, almost as a pause to allow Lyle to speak, however the lips of Lyle were still tensed tightly, his teeth still gritted, yet his eyes were marginally open, with his pupils focused on the driven facial expression of Leon. A moment where both men locked glances, both men begun to see through to what the other was intending. Nerves were still high of both sides and with the glance between the two intentions became known. How far would each man go, who would be the first to crack.

Lyle: Ok ok ok.

Leon: You want to say something?

A moment of silence fills the room, Leon softens the pressure on the blade.

Lyle: I did it.

Not even the words of curiosity pushed Leon to attack on this opening. A true sense of relief cast a shadow on his face, with a burden truly off his shoulder he freed his expression and slowly withdrew the blade to a suitable distance away from Lyle. Yet with a few moments to ponder everything, Leon begins the next stage of this interegation.

Leon: Why?

Lyle: Because I’d finally get what I want.

Leon: Money?

Lyle: Hardly. The money, the fame and the head of the board position.

Leon: And this just came about from when I became CEO?

A few seconds past, seemingly to be for the revelation of an honest truth.

Lyle: Yeah, if the board wouldn’t put me in, I’d make it happen myself.

Leon: Then why wa-

Lyle: Can you get me out of thi-

Leon: Shut up!

Realizing that he was still in no position to demand anything, Lyle obeyed.

Leon: Now, why didn’t you bribe them before they elected me?

A curious yet amused expression overcame Lyle’s face.

Lyle: Ahh, because I don’t have the money.

Leon: I bet you do now though, right?

Lyle’s amused look grew into a satisfied grin as he replied.

Lyle: Of course. The merge was the best financial decision I’ve ever made.

Leon: Might be your last if I get my way.

The grin had dissolved, the look on Leon’s face was growing with frustration and annoyance as he continued to break the case open.

Lyle: Was that a threat?

Leon: Yes. You screwed with the company, you screwed with me, and you damn well screwed with my family too!

Lyle: I just did what was best for me.

Leon lets out a rather large exhale as he prepared himself for what he had to do next.

Leon: Well its about time I do what’s best for me.

With that Leon swiftly turns his back to Lyle, and casually walks over to his side of the desk resting behind him, in doing so Leon gradually lifted his hand and brushed it through his hair, slowly letting the adrenaline seethe through his body. Once he had recrudesced to his seat opposed to Lyle he leisurely reached across to his desk and sluggishly lifted a singular piece of paper.

Leon: Do you know what this is?

From the seat that he was strapped into Lyle leant forward and tried to identify the document.

Leon: it’s a personalized contractual agreement, stating that you knowingly intended to engage in an illegal remuneration with Entellect and its directors and now in your corporate position, give Mr. Leon Ross Caprice fully settlement on both the current funds of his investment in Entellect and additionally his wages up to the point of self release.

Upon hearing that, Lyle gently leant back into his seat, with an evident smirk on his face and a now causal perplection.

Lyle: I’m not signing that.

Leon: Oh yes you will.

With that Leon hurriedly rose and made his way back to standing in front of Lyle, holding the document in his right hand and casually tilting his body to pick up a pen when passing by the desk. When he stood beside Lyle, he forcefully laid the document in front of Lyle, shoving the pen atop the paper and then reaching into his suit pocket to reveal the knife once more.

Leon: Now sign above the damn line.

Leon gently lowered the blade and slice opened the tape that was keeping Lyle’s right hand tight above the chair. Once freed Leon shoved the pen into Lyle’s free hand and shifted Lyle’s weight forcefully forward on the chair to reach the paper.

Lyle: Now what happens if I don’t sign this?

With a quick second to pick his words Leon replied.

Leon: I wont get my money, I’ll get angry and I’ll probably do something I regret.

Lyle looking into Leon’s eyes and accompanied with the harshness in his words, he knew that Leon meant what he said. So with quite a few moments passing by, Lyle made the ultimate decision.

Lyle: Fine.

And in agreeance with his words, Lyle lowered the ball-point pen and scribbled his signature above the line with his printed name below. With that done, Leon simply let go of the chair and let it rock back into its original position, and with that Leon himself signed the document and made the meeting worth-while.

Lyle: You’re going to get shat on for this.

Leon: Why, planning on telling someone?

Lyle: The cops, the directors. This is an invasion of privacy and I-

Leon: And if you blabber a word to anyone about my methods, then I’ll have no motivation to hold back. This is between you and me until I sort this out.

Lyle: Wha…What are you going to do?

Leon: I’m going to make sure everyone gets what they f’n deserve, that’s what.

Lyle: And that’s it?

Leon: As long as no pigs squeal or any meetings are held behind my back again.

Almost in sadness and depression, Lyle exhaled a deep sigh, almost as a physical sense that he had given up, that he had symbolically and mentally said “I Quit”.

Lyle: Fine then, you get your investment returns and your wages delivered and that’s it?

Leon: As long as everything goes smoothly, then yes.

The conversation was slowing, the men were both withdrawing from the rushes they had minutes before and now relaxing back into their normal selves. With Leon returning to a calm & collected state with the document now firmly in his grasp, and Lyle, now was untying himself from the chair and checking the skin which rested under the tape, to check for inconsistent hairs or possible bruising. Once entirely free and risen from the chair, Lyle returned to his normal self, breaking free of the shell that was encased with nerves, to now the cocky, arrogant, businessman.

Lyle: Finally, Now if you try this shit again I’ll have you done. You lay a hand on me, I’ll fuck you up so badly, that you’re dear wife will have to have the baby on the street. And if you think their wont be any repercussions after this little stunt of yours, then you don’t know a fucking thing. I will have my fucking revenge and I will bury you if you continue this shit…

Leon: you finished?

Lyle: Fuck you Leon, if you think you were worse off before, then wait til what happens next.

Leon: Wow, I didn’t predict this!

Those words spill out of Leon’s mouth with a high dose of sarcasm, obviously knowing that Lyle wouldn’t just roll over and let it lie, however no amount of panic or shock was seen past the sarcastic look on Leon’s face. He had a plan ready, but what was it?

Lyle: What have you done?

Leon lifts the document up to show Lyle the writing upon it.

Leon: See I did the liberty of applying S 285 of the Corporation Law to our little situation.

Lyle: which does what?

Leon: It means that all relevant information to this situation is bound by confidentiality to those who were presently there. Now seeing how we are on the premises and alone, the agreement is bound by your signature and you must abide by it.

Lyle: You fuc-

Leon: Shove it Lyle, you deserve this entirely.

With the conversation now quasi over, Lyle gradually stumbled to the doorway of the room and gave his back to Leon. Still with a smile on his face and a grateful expression Leon returned to stare at the signed document as Lyle reached the closed door.

The warm hands of Lyle envelope the cold metal of the door knob slinging the door open allowing the mechanical noise and artificial light of the peaceful hallway to seep in. Before stepping through and finally exiting the rather painful situation, Lyle tilted around to face Leon one last time.

Lyle: Leon…

Leon: Yo…

Lyle: Fuck you.

Leon needed no response to that. All evidence showed that Leon had won, he had achieved his goal, the paper was signed and his money was now in his grasp. So to end the conversation, Leon in a humble attitude delivered a honest smile to Lyle as he looked the thrive off Leon’s response. And with Leon’s silent reaction, it only build Lyle up, so with that Lyle tilted around, closes his eyes and exhales deeply before stepping into the hallway, leaving a satisfied and content Leon to rest back into his chair. To now pre-plan what this means, what this result meant.

In summary, he was now free. No more chasing around, no more dependence on others. His life was now becoming his own. No more overbearing shadows, no more stabs in the back. His chains were broken and it was now time to run this race.

One giant had been overcome, now only one more stood in his way.


Yet this was to be it, the final strike could be dealt here. The shadows had been removed, the stance of both men was seen. Skyler was being a individualist, leading his life for himself and for his own personal gratification.

Whereas Leon Caprice was aiming for a result more than himself. More than beating the master, more than being the better in the team. It was about being the man that FMW needed him to be, to listen to the people, to take in the words of the atmosphere and allow them to have a physical presence inside of himself.

FMW wants change in Skyler.

His family wants Skyler to come back.

And his friends want him to get better.

Yet what does Leon want, what is the driving force in this entire feud, what is the one thought that will stop Leon from saying “I Quit”.

Well unbeknown to him, its best summed up in a singular bible verse.

Ecclesiastes 4:9 (TEV)

“Two are better off than one, because together they can work more effectively. If one of them falls down, the other can help him up… Two people can resist an attack that would defeat one person alone. A rope made of three cords is hard to break.”
